I played a round of traditional minigolf for the first time since starting this project. I was invited to an work party for my old job, we went to birdie time pub, (an indoor minigolf course with a lot of beer).
over 9 holes I racked up 27 strokes, which was good enough to tie for second place.
wonder how I’d fair at golf golf
I’m trying to figure out what I learned from this experience. The first hole was a strange combonation of having the best and worst design: a long steele-tied arch bridge with hot wheels glued down in the lanes. It looked great, but none of us could get across it, eventually half of our group of six did, which had the other three just skip it. This is something I’ve run into before with my own design, you need the hole to be easy enough to buy into the experience---that being said it was probably better that it wasn’t one of the middle holes, when you first start it can also be easier to just skip it alltogether
