Fruit Trees

portland fruit tree project is doing some interesting work, they’ve got a calnder that tells you about the kinds of events they are running.
It seems like the primary goal is (and should be) to not let these resources go to waste.


michael rogers was teaching my philosophy of sustainable design class and was talking about red lining. specifically when part of the practice involves putting highways in to seperate neighborhoods and further inequity (this practice also displaces whoever is living where the highway will be built).
anyways to start a discussion they asked what would change if instead we planted fruit trees
undermy breath I said “red delicious lining”
I’m more of a honey crisp lad buyt I still thought it was quick witted/funny?
