NOTES:

burlap construction:
the ball rolls well along the burlap, but it wrinkles quite easily, I could tack it down with some kind of large croquet like staples but the earth underneath it is still loose enough that the burlap ends up with too much undulation.  

I like how the burlap looks, I like the texture, I like the pattern making it creates, and the juxtaposition to the dirt and stone.

I’m thinking I could use it in a way similar to a sand trap... not as severely punishing as a real sand trap, but places in locations to add variety in playing texture to the course.
